There is no food that I love more than cheese, and for many good reasons: it can be put on just about anything; you can eat it melted or right out of the package; and there are a million different kinds and varieties.  Cheese is such a versatile food.  What other food can you put on your burger and ALSO make a cake with?  I’ve never tried a kind of cheese that I did not like, and I’ve tried quite a few cheeses in my 22 years.

You can imagine my excitement when I saw this sandwich.  All that cheese, plus it’s melted over a piece of fried chicken?! There was no other option for me on that menu; I had to have it and it definitely did not disappoint.  Shockingly, the picture might have less cheese than the sandwich I was actually served.   The cheese wasn’t even the best part of this sandwich; the fried chicken was so crispy on the outside, but still so juicy and flavorful.  They throw on some fried onion rings, lettuce, tomato, and mayo which takes it to another level, and saves you from drowning in cheese.

This amazing Chicken Cheese Melt is from Addy’s BBQ in Queens, NY.  They’re a small restaurant that serves Halal food as well as BBQ, and they also have some meals that are a mix of the two. Everything we ate was beyond perfect!  I highly recommend this spot if you’re ever in the area.  Check them out here!
